The International Association of Jesuit Engineering and Science Schools (IAJES) has unveiled its strategic roadmap for 2025-2026, outlining key initiatives to strengthen its global network of Jesuit universities. With a focus on enhancing communication, facilitating collaborative projects, and preparing for the next IAJES summit in the Philippines, the roadmap reflects IAJES' commitment to fostering academic excellence and practical engagement among its member institutions. The International Association of Jesuit Engineering and Science Schools (IAJES) has officially launched its roadmap for 2025-2026, setting the course for the next two years of its operations and initiatives. The new structure of the association, developed by the IAJES Governing Board and validated at the Bhubaneswar Summit in July 2024, aims to strengthen the organization and its global network of Jesuit universities. Central to the roadmap is ensuring that the structural organization established in 2024 is fully operational, with clear roles for the Governing Board, Regional Committee, and Operational Committee.
A primary focus of the IAJES leadership is to enhance relationships with the International Association of Jesuit Universities (IAJU), with a commitment to increase communication and collaboration. This will be achieved through regular updates to IAJU, ensuring that IAJES' initiatives align with the broader goals of Jesuit higher education. Additionally, the roadmap underscores the importance of identifying and developing collaborative projects that engage member institutions, such as student challenges, webinars, and research initiatives.
To foster a stronger and more engaged network, IAJES is also working to expand its pool of participating universities across the six regions, ensuring that more Jesuit institutions contribute to and benefit from IAJES' initiatives. A key milestone will be the preparation for the next IAJES summit, set to take place in the Philippines in July 2026, where members will gather to share ideas and set new directions for the future.
Through these initiatives, IAJES reaffirms its commitment to advancing Jesuit education globally, promoting collaboration, and supporting academic excellence in engineering and the sciences.
