Objectives

To achieve their mission, the Task Force has created the following objectives:

  • Understand the mental health and wellbeing needs of students,faculty and staff on Jesuit higher education institutions.
  • Identify and share good practices in enabling mental health and wellbeing among Jesuit higher education institutions
  • Capacitate students, faculty and staff on self-care and providing mental health services and programs.
  • Document and share best practices of HEIs on enable MH and WB in IAJU Portal.
  • Develop and share materials for students, teachers and staff, administrators in IAJU Portal.

As phase one of this taskforce gets closer to completion, here are some activities with tentative dates to look forward to:

  • June 2026: Webinar Workshop on Enabling Wellbeing in HEIs
  • July - September 2026: Webinars on Good Practices
  • August - December 2026: Development of Advocacy and Self-care materials
  • October/November 2026: Training on Resilience Program

To begin understanding the mental needs of students and faculty at Jesuit institutions, the Holistic Wellbeing taskforce sent out a survey to certain Jesuit institutions and universities in the Asia Pacific.
