Overview

To properly ensure that students at Jesuit institutions understand the promotion of democracy, all chapters of the IAJU organize courses, diplomas, undergraduate and graduate programs in political science, public policy, social dynamics, democracy, electoral systems, public administration, Indian Constitution, etc., as well as advocacy actions.

These programs ensure that students at the institutions have opportunities to grow their knowledge of democracy and the struggles and challenges related to different political systems.

Outside of the classroom, manifestos from students, professors and alumni for the defence and promotion of democracy are common. It is also common to see advocacy efforts through newspaper and magazine articles, door to door campaigns, civic and electoral rights promotion and activism, and other programs.
