A Sustained Community of Practice

To ensure proper and timely communication on the constantly evolving state of AI, and its implications for Jesuit universities, a Community of Practice will be created.This program will implement forums and regular virtual gatherings that enable faculty, staff, and students to exchange experiences and co-develop mission-aligned practices. 

The mission of this program is to further support open and easy collaboration between Jesuit universities globally. 

Because both this practice and AI in education are new topics, the main goal for 2026 is to open lines of clear communication between Jesuit Institutions and the IAJU. This includes an initial inventory of resources and institutional initiatives about policies, academic integrity guidelines, curriculum experiments, and AI-enabled support for students, faculty members, admin staff.​

Currently, this program will involve institutions that are working with another Artificial Intelligence program, the Curated Knowledge Hub. However, the goal is to expand to the whole IAJU network.
