Overview
Since the 2022 IAJU assembly in Boston, MA, the Task Force on Global Citizenship has been working to broaden and deepen education for global citizenship. The Global Citizenship Curriculum Project enables faculty teaching at Jesuit colleges and universities worldwide to embed a module on global citizenship in their existing classes. Over the last 4 years, the project has worked with more than 200 professors and almost 3000 students across more than 60 institutions and 25 countries.
Teaching Global Citizenship
Modules and DialoguesStudents engage in topics of global citizenship on campus through both the Global Citizenship Course Module and the Global Student Dialogues.
- Global Citizenship Course Module: This module consists of four lectures and accompanying readings that address global citizenship as an idea and in practice. To learn more about this program, click here.
- Global Student Dialogues: As part of the Global Citizenship Course Module, students are required to participate in dialogue with peers around the world.
