Overveiw

One of the biggest concerns over the rapidly changing AI landscape is if Jesuit Institutions will be able to respond to the reshaping of education. While all institutions are currently evolving to work with artificial intelligence while maintaining Ignatian values, it is difficult to communicate general guidelines and emerging insights between institutions.

Through this program, the IAJU hopes to mitigate miscommunication and improve inter-institutional communication on AI by creating a digital space to gather and organize case studies, guidelines, reflections, and reusable materials for education, research, and administration.

Goals

The goals for 2026 include:

  • Creating a pilot Knowledge Hub in collaboration with Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. This hub will take inspiration from several AI extensions, including Moodle, an AI-based educational tool.
  • Securing a small staff to continue developing the hub and integrating it into the greater IAJU foundation.
  • Connecting with universities involved in other Task Forces to see how their programs can impact the Knowledge Hub.
