Held from March 22 to 24 at the United Nations headquarters (New York), the Water 2023 Conference sought to generate commitments from UN Member States and other stakeholders through proposals and solutions to advance the Water Action Agenda as a way to achieve the sixth goal of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: Clean Water and Sanitation.

The Great Celebration for the 80th Anniversary of our IBERO was full of emotion and ovations, with a community very happy to gather around this significant commemoration, to the rhythm of a Symphony Orchestra of Minería that, at different times, brought the audience to their feet in the esplanade of the Iberoamericana, to burst into long periods of applause

Magis Exchange is an innovative exchange program of the International Association of Jesuit Universities (IAJU), designed to help young people discern their role as agents of global change by encouraging leadership and reflection on current social and environmental issues. The program has gained significant traction since its launch in 2019, with more than 80 students having undergone this transformative experience.

One of the goals of IAJES agreed in the meeting at Cali, Colombia in 2019 is to encourage the collaboration and learning among students at Jesuit universities. To do so, a working group was created with the goal of proposing student projects aimed to promote collaborative work and learning among them.

The Beijing Center for Chinese Studies (TBC) has formally opened its first satellite site inside Mainland China. The Kunming Liya Center, or 昆明理雅学苑, is located in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan, one of China’s southern provinces, bordering Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam. Kunming is often referred to as the City of Eternal Spring for its fair climate and lush biodiversity.

The important work on the Inspirational Paradigm for Jesuit Business Education (IP) continues apace, led by a steering committee appointed by the International Association of Jesuit Universities (IAJU). Launched in 2019, this effort led to the publication of the IP in 2020, followed by efforts to promote the IP among Jesuit business educators and business schools across the globe.

The University of Scranton, Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in ways that leverage academic strengths, faculty expertise, resources and technology of each institution to enhance further the quality and breadth of programs offered to students.

Magis Exchange is a program that comes from the union and solidarity of Jesuit universities around the world as a life-transforming proposal that aims to create global citizens who lead positive changes for the humanity and the planet.

The infrastructure task force was created in the IAJES meeting at Cali, Colombia in 2019 along with the other task forces. Its goal is to facilitate the execution of projects related to the development of the infrastructure needed to improve the quality of living.

The European Leadership Programme (ELP) is a holistic leadership formation offered by the Jesuit European Social Center in Brussels. It started in 2019 as an answer to the UAP journeying with the youth; offering guidance to young people during the transition between the academia and labour market.

We arrived in Boston with the objectives of continuing to advance in the clarification of the reconciliation mission, to encourage commitment from the universities and to invite to the articulation of resources through networking.
