Overview

The Ignatian Year is the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the conversion of St. Ignatius. A series of commemorative events will begin on May 20, 2021 and conclude on July 31, 2022. This anniversary year represents an opportunity to promote institutional and personal conversions from profession to purpose among the global Ignatian Family.

The Ignatian Year Working Group is a task force approved by the IAJU Board to support the strategy and the global initiatives of the IAJU for the Ignatian Year. 

 

*The Group will continue to grow more global as it continues to incorporate members from other regions (in process).

Projects

Ignatian Year materials repository

The group is working to build a repository that features materials that can be useful for our colleagues (faculty and staff) at Jesuit higher education institutions all around the world to engage students around Ignatian themes like discernment, spirituality, leadersip, renewal or social and environemtal justice.

 

Ignatian Year student contest

The working group plans to run a global student contest, which aims to engage students creativity around the topic of vocation. The contest will invite the participating students to reflect about their talents, their passions and the world greatest needs.
