Magis Exchange is a program that comes from the union and solidarity of Jesuit universities around the world as a life-transforming proposal that aims to create global citizens who lead positive changes for the humanity and the planet.

We arrived in Boston with the objectives of continuing to advance in the clarification of the reconciliation mission, to encourage commitment from the universities and to invite to the articulation of resources through networking.

Earlier this fall, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (PUJ) engaged in an international exchange by hosting a faculty delegation from Seattle University. This mission occurred just months after a delegation from Javeriana paid a visit to Seattle U in June 2022.

Father Arturo Sosa offered on August 4th at the IAJU Assembly a speech that emphasised the context of today's world, offering a meaningful Ignatian perspective for all members of the university communities, oriented towards the exercise of the Common Good.

The IAJU Task Force on Jesuit Business Education is one of two new Task Forces that have emerged since the 2018 IAJU Assembly at the University of Deusto. On Friday, August 5, Rev. Nicky Santos, S.J. of Creighton University (USA), presented the background, work and future directions of the Task Force to the 2022 IAJU Assembly.

On Friday afternoon, the 2022 IAJU Assembly participants gathered in breakout groups to engage with the Task Forces and facilitators of other innovative programs presented at the Assembly. The goal of this session was to reflect on the past work and future aspirations of each initiative, and to discern concrete steps to further their mission.

El taller previo a la Asamblea de la IAJU de 2022, "Frente a la crisis: Democracia y fragilidad en el mundo", tuvo lugar el miércoles 3 de agosto. El taller, dividido en dos partes, presentó el proyecto del Observatorio de la Democracia de AUSJAL y analizó el estado de la democracia en cada una de las seis regiones que componen la IAJU.

On Wednesday, August 3, the 2022 IAJU Assembly officially commenced with an opening Mass celebrated by Cardinal Seán Patrick O’Malley, OFM Cap., Archbishop of Boston, at St. Ignatius Church.
