Xavier University is celebrating its 35th president, Colleen M. Hanycz, PhD, through a variety of Inauguration events of the themes of the Ignatian Year beginning on October 23, 2021. The week includes (1) a National Day of Solidarity on Service on the 530th anniversary of the birth of St Ignatius Loyola, (2) an Academic Showcase highlighting the scholarly work happening on campus to advance the four Universal Apostolic Preferences, (3) a brunch with families and the local Jesuit Community honoring the global network and companionship, (4) a student reception with the President to consider ways their future vocation can move from “Profession to Purpose,” (5) an Inaugural Mass celebrated by the Midwest Provincial on the theme of “Seeing All Things New in Christ,” and (6) the missioning Installation.
