The end of the academic year is always exciting for all students on our campuses, not just those who are graduating! Many schools are hosting public showcases for students to display the research that they have conducted (often in partnership with their professors) over the past year. Here are some highlights:
- College of the Holy Cross produced a video of Academic Conference, a four-day symposium of poster presentations, lectures and performances
- Fairfield University students presented projects at the annual Innovative Research Symposium, including The Fairfield Slavery Project, an examination of slavery in Fairfield, CT
- Fordham University hosted its first-ever Undergraduate Research Week, featuring an Undergraduate Research Symposium and projects from the Rose Hill and Lincoln Center campuses
- The Undergraduate Research Conference, hosted by the Department of Human Science within Georgetown University's School of Nursing & Health Studies, featured cutting-edge research in health science
- The University of Scranton featured projects by 162 students at the recent Celebration of Student Scholars
Also of note: Both Boston College and Creighton University announced students who have been named Goldwater Scholars.
